CLIENT: COPPER HARBOR ADVERTISING – COPPER HARBOR, MICHIGAN

Copper Harbor is located at the northern-most tip of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula on Lake Superior’s spectacular shoreline. The discovery of huge pure copper deposits in 1843 produced a settlement of mineral prospectors. Some of the early miners stayed on to settle the area and became the ancestors of many of the current townfolk and shop owners. Today Copper Harbor is a tourist town known for it’s world-class biking trails, Gateway to Isle Royale, endless water activities and pristine air.

I designed the logo to reflect the beautiful sunsets and turned the ‘i’ upside down and used a black bear paw as the dot. Throughout all the material I used the copper color to convey the history of the area while the photography shows the many activities. I also designed event posters, the Grant Townships logo and provided some of the photography used.
